The Luckiest

If you already hadn't had enough six month pictures 3 months too late, here a couple more.

Simply because these twins just melt my heart :)

 And my favorite of all...

Ha ha! Oh, that face

Month Six Video

Here's a little video of Jonah trying to scoot around six months... He had already started doing it, but I could never catch it on camera. This is mostly just him struggling :)

Month Six!

Every month with the little man gets more interesting and exciting. At six months, Jonah started scooting across the carpet. It happened so fast... one day he was kind of doing it, and a few days later he was practically mobile!

We were living my mom and dad, which was fun because they got to see Jonah every day and watch him grow and learn new things. We had just made the crazy cross-country trek from Tennessee (more on that later... it was a doozy), and Jordan was out of town every other week for training (not fun!). He was setting up lots of things for the new company and working hard.

I will have to look in his baby file for the exact stats, because I can't remember them. I know he was 18 pounds 1 ounce at his appointment, and he was in the 90th percentile for height. He had also started giving some really good belly laughs, and was really in the throes of teething (we were waiting for the bottom right one to break through).

His sleeping got super weird (because of said teething and a new room/environment), and for a span there I felt like we had a newborn again. Yikes. He would wake up around 11 or 12 after going to bed and then at 3 or 4 AM every night, followed by waking up at 6:30 in the morning. It was rough. Thankfully, it went away, and he is back to his 12 hour a night sleep schedule!

5 Months of Jonah

Okay, so I realize Jonah is 9 months now and it is pretty sad that I am just posting 5 month pictures. However, this is the best way for my mom brain to keep track of his ages/stages, and why not share more pictures of that cute face!? ;)

Also, what the heck is up with our background? More blogger issues, yet again. I tried to use a new template, and things just got messed up and wacky. Sigh. Maybe one day I will fix it.

Five months was a CRAZY time for us... We were in the process of getting ready to move/pack up our place in Hixson. Since we were relocating across the country and wanted to downsize, we were also selling tons of our furniture and belongings (we may have slept on a mattress on the floor for a month).

Jonah decided this would be a perfect time to stop napping. Oy vey. I know it's typically a 5 month thing, but I thought that, since he was an awesome napper during the day up until that point, maybe I would get a break. Not so, people! Looking back now, it was probably from teething and all of the craziness.

He also had gotten really good at rolling around and could push himself up on his arms. If I left him alone on one side of his room and walked out, he would have rolled to the other side by the time I came back a couple of minutes later.

Love that little man!

We're Still Here

Ummm yeeaaahhhh....

I realize it's been quite a while since we updated. I doubt anyone will even read this, because you have probably given up on us. I have lots of excuses to give, but in a nutshell, it has been a busy several months, and I was bad about loading pictures. I'm a firm believer that a blog post is pretty lame-o without some pics, so I of course completely just decided to forgo posting anything altogether.

Since we last wrote, we moved from our beloved Chattanooga to Arizona. We are so grateful that Jordan was able to find work here and that we are close to family, but we miss the South somethin' fierce. The wound is still too fresh to think about spending last summer hiking in the woods and going to the lake. We will always have the fondest of memories of Hixson, and we hope we can take Jonah back to the place where he was born eventually.

Since coming to Arizona, we stayed with my family for a little (okay, long) while. We also BOUGHT A HOUSE! We are so excited, and have been busy moving in and making some repairs the past couple of weeks. We are living in Gilbert, and are really happy to be in an area that is smaller and close to a temple.

Jonah is doing great. I wanted to do some catch-up posts about his last few months. He is 9 months old and CRAZY. Definitely keeps me on my toes. I never realized how insanely mobile and curious about EVERYTHING he would be this early. He is super fun, though, and has the goofiest little personality.

We have lots to post about, but here are some recent photos of our little dudemeister (and his super dirty car seat... sorry).
